I first discovered yoga in Belgium in 2008, and since then it has been much more than a practice—it’s been a path that continues to guide me and reveal new treasures along the way.

In 2011, I met Paulina, and together we spent over a decade living in ashrams, communities, and yoga schools across Mexico, India, Spain, and France.

Over the years, I’ve guided more than 20 yoga teacher trainings as well as many retreats and classes, drawing inspiration from classical Yoga, Tantra, the Bihar School of Yoga, along with many other teachers and traditions.

Beyond yoga, I love working the land and, most of all, being father to Amba. In 2023, Paulina and I planted roots in Southern Spain, where we created Ananda Forest—a place that feels like home and where we now host retreats, and welcome others to share in the beauty and magic of this land.

I first came to yoga around 2003, drawn to it as a physical practice. But everything changed after my first 10-day silent retreat in 2011—that experience opened a whole new path for me. Since then, yoga and meditation have been at the heart of my life.

Over the years I’ve guided retreats, teacher trainings, and workshops across Mexico and Europe, and what inspires me most is seeing the peace and transformation these practices bring to people from all walks of life. I’ve trained with many teachers, completed two 200-hour trainings, and in 2017 finished the 500-hour Hridaya Teacher Training Course.

Teaching has been part of my journey since 2012, yet I remain a lifelong student. After many years of traveling, I’ve now found home in Ananda Forest in Southern Spain, where I live with my partner and our daughter, Amba.

Our Mission

Amaratva Yoga is a school dedicated to supporting the journey of healing and awakening—through yoga, meditation, and trainings that help us reconnect, realign, and return to our true Essence and Nature.

Our home, Ananda Forest, is also a retreat center where we host our own courses and welcome other facilitators. Here we’re creating our little heaven on Earth—living with permaculture principles, regenerating the soil, and growing an abundant food forest to share with all who visit, while creating a space for Saddhana/ Yoga practice. Ananda Forest is a place to return to peace, simplicity and nature in a magical and beautiful way.

Our Journey Home...

We have been travelling the world for many years, living in Yoga retreat centers, permaculture communities and ashrams.

As the longing to grow our seeds of love and roots became stronger, the vision for a home and retreat center began to manifest.

The Alpujarra mountains in Southern Spain have called us and we love the nature and energy here.

We are delighted to welcome you to experience this beauty for yourself in Ananda Forest, our retreat center.

"Paulina and Floris are the most thoughtful and generous people I have ever met, their knowledge and love for yoga if forever inspiring and the safety that you feel while working together with them is beyond words."

Nicole Olenskaia, 2020

"Paulina and Floris are literally 'breathing' the authentic yoga path. They radiate what they teach, and do this in such a open-hearted way. They are 110% available to support you during this Yoga Teacher Training (and beyond). For me this has been an amazing journey, filled with all the necessary tools to develop my yoga practice and skills as a teacher: alignment, sequencing, different meditation techniques, yogic philosophy, anatomy,... forever grateful for you both!"
